The Weakness of Mother Nature

Updated: Dec 28, 2022

The greatest weakness of Mother Nature is climate change, which has a deathly effect on us. Taking her down gradually despite her attempts to resist. We are the only people she can count on to be there for her. But we are acting in complete opposition. Removing the trees and increasing greenhouse gas emissions with chemicals, burning fossil fuels and other everyday activities. Little by little consuming her. So, what are we going to do, you might ask? Well, one must first understand the true nature of climate change. what it does, who it affects, and what it affects.

The observed rise in global temperatures is referred to as climate change or global warming. Our environment and we have both suffered greatly as a result, but the more we pollute the Earth, the worse it gets. According to the Scientific American website, Svante Arrhenius, a Swedish scientist, developed a scientific theory in 1896. He claimed that the "Greenhouse effect" was caused by the release of more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as a result of the burning of fossil fuels (such as coal). After about 120 years, Arrhenius was correct. Climate change has killed many animals, their habitats, and us in addition to raising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. The ones who are not only making it worse, are also the ones who are, and are going to, experience the most danger. Lives are being taken away, and the continuation of Climate Change is limiting our lives.

Millions of animals, insects, rodents, humans, and many other species have been impacted by climate change. It has had a negative impact on everything that is alive. Animals that reside in the North and South Poles are the ones who are most impacted. For instance, their own grounds, the Polar Bears, are melting away and disappearing. Yet many more bears continue to be impacted. Climate change is so easily affected and the more we pollute, the worse it gets. The trashing in the ocean, the continuing burn of fossil fuels, the littering anywhere and everywhere, it all helps contribute to worsening climate change. “Scientists agree that today’s warming is primarily caused by humans putting too much carbon in the atmosphere, like when we choose to extract and burn coal, oil, and gas, or cut down and burn forests. Even though we are making small changes to support Mother Nature, it is still insufficient to stop the harm and disruption we continue to cause to the environment.

Although there is only so much that we can do, everyone needs to contribute to protecting the environment. You can already make a difference by simply repeating the three traditional "R's," Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. However, doing it all by yourself won't result in a significant improvement. Spread the word, then! Inform your family, friends, and neighbors about climate change and explain how it is being brought on by current events in our society. Tell them what they can do to help the environment and how they can stop it. Only so much can we accomplish on our own, and only so far can it go. Every day spent doing nothing to help our environment, is another day less of our future generations living.
